Research interests
I'm interested in evolutionary processes shaping host-parasite interactions. My PhD project deals with avian malaria in the great tit Parus major and its natural mosquito vector, Culex pipiens. With Juan Van Rooyen, we share common interests in looking at different aspects of interactions between parasites and hosts and between parasites and vectors. I will mainly focus on this second part of our project and especially on the influence of the parasite on both life history traits and feeding behaviour (host selection) of its mosquito vector.
