Dr. Charlotte Canteloup

My research interest is primate social cognition. During my PhD, I focused on the study of cognitive abilities as Theory of Mind precursors of our closest relatives, nonhuman primates, to better understand the evolution of cognition. During a first postdoc being affiliated to the University of Zürich and Lausanne in Switzerland, I worked on the origins of culture and the effects of social network on social transmission in wild vervet monkeys as a post-doctoral. I am now a researcher in Erica van de Waal’s group working on social learning strategies and intra and interspecific social learning in vervet monkeys within the Inkawu Vervet Project.
