Information systems are at the heart of any organization of a certain size. In recent decades, information and communication technologies have profoundly changed the way we search, produce, communicate and manage information, both in our private and professional lives. For this reason, understanding these technologies and their deployment has become essential.

The Department of Information Systems (DESI) seeks to build the skills and competencies required for the digital society with its research activities and teaching programs. The department is home of 10 renowned scholars of different disciplines of Information Systems and Computer Science.

The Department provides students with fundamental courses in informatics and information systems. It is also in charge of specialized programs, such as the Master in Information Systems (Faculty of Business and Economics), the Master of Law in Legal Issues, Crime and Security of Information Technologies (in collaboration with the Faculty of Law and Criminal Justice) and the Doctoral program in Information Systems.
