Cell polarization and cell cycle control

Cell polarization is a fundamental property that underlies many cellular functions.

The Martin lab studies the spatial organization of cells and how this controls cell growth, cell division and sexual differentiation. For this, we use a very simple unicellular organism, the fission yeast. Read more on the Martin lab webpage.
