CONTACT ME

Research interest

Translational cancer research with a special focus on recombinant protein expression systems and their application to medical usage.

Background

I studied at the University of Lausanne and did my PhD in Endocrinology at the CHUV, followed by a postdoc at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and 10 years in Basel as a postdoc at the FMI and research associate at the University of Basel.

Research interest

My PhD is in the field of onco-immunology, focusing on immune modulation and radiotherapy treatments for solid tumors.

Background

I graduated from University of Lausanne with an MSc in Medical Biology in 2019. After finishing my master’s thesis project, I worked as a research assistant for one year prior starting a PhD in March 2020 in the laboratory of Pr Pedro Romero.

Research interest

T cell metabolic and epigenetic reprogramming to improve adoptive cell transfer immunotherapy.

Background

I did my Master’s in Medical Biology in the immunology and cancer program at the University of Lausanne. I had the opportunity to do my master’s work in the laboratory of Pr Pedro Romero and was very happy to continue with a PhD, under the co-supervision of Pr Ping-Chih Ho.

Research interest

Adoptive T cell therapy in the context of cancer using T cell engineering via genomic editing and viral vector-mediated gene transfer.

Background

I obtained my Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Master’s in Advanced Research in Cell Biology and Immunology at the University of Granada.

CONTACT ME

Research interest

My current focus is on modulating CD8+ T cell metabolism to boost the memory response and therefore enhance the efficacy and long-term immunity of vaccines.

Background

I studied Biology at the University of Lausanne where I did a bachelor’s and master’s with a specialisation in immunology and cancer. For my master’s thesis I spent one year as a graduate assistant at the Ragon Institute in Boston.

Research interest

My PhD focusses on innovative cancer immunotherapy using tumor antigen-specific CD4 T cells.

Background

I obtained my Bachelor’s in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Master’s degree in Pharmacology at the University of Strasbourg.

CONTACT ME

Research interest

I am interested in how we could exploit the resources of our immune system to fight cancer.

Background

After a Master’s degree in Biology at the University of Geneva, I worked as a lab technician in the immunobiology of brain tumours. I subsequently took up a position as a lab manager/research technician in immunometabolism within the Ludwig Lausanne branch before moving into the field of vaccines and I am currently working as lab manager/research technician in the laboratory of Pr Pedro Romero.

CONTACT ME

Research interest

I am interested in the metabolic processes driving T cell differentiation and exhaustion in cancer and how we can harness this to improve adoptive cell transfer therapy.

Background

I studied biomedical sciences at the University of Leuven where I continued my PhD investigating the interaction between tumor-associated macrophage metabolism and angiogenesis and metastasis.

CONTACT ME

Research interest

I currently analyse genomics data generated by several groups at the University of Lausanne and other academic institutions.

Research interest

I originally trained as a plant and molecular biologist at the University of Lausanne. I went on to do a PhD at the University of Miami about the interactions between pines and mycorrhizal fungi, by running field experiments under the hot Florida sun. Back in Switzerland, but this time in the wet lab, I held a postdoc position investigating the genetics of fungi and learned to analyze data generated by next generation sequencing techniques. I enjoyed learning about bioinformatics so much that a new career path opened up.
