L'intervention portait sur la procédure législative dans le domaine du droit social, telle qu'exemplifiée par un projet législatif concret: la directive 2019/1158 concernant l'équilibre entre vie professionnelle et vie privée des parents et des aidants (« Work-Life Balance »). L'approche adoptée sera avant tout pratique, soulignant les étapes phares menant à l'adoption d'une directive par les co-législateurs. L'exposé portera également sur les dispositions clés de la directive en matière d'égalité de traitement entre hommes et femmes, une valeur fondamentale de l'Union européenne.
