The Department of Oncology & the Ludwig Center are pleased to announce the launching of the Distinguished Ludwig Lecture Series next autumn.
These lectures will feature leading figures in the field of cancer immunobiology and the tumor microenvironment, and who have made seminal contributions to the understanding of the interactions between tumors and the immune system, and the biology of the tumor microenvironment, including inflammation and innate immunity, angiogenesis, tumor stroma etc. The scope of the topics covered will also extend to the major progress made in applying this knowledge to the design of innovative cancer therapies.
The lectures will be programmed at the rhythm of one per month, always on Thursdays at 12 noon in room B301 of the Epalinges Research Center. They are scheduled to alternate with the lectures programmed in the Distinguished Lola Grace Lecture Series at ISREC-EPFL. As the latter, the Ludwig lecture series will be televised across the CHUV and the EPFL campuses including the opportunity for participants at those locations to interact with the speakers and the other audiences.
