Ecotoxicology

Lab # 1239

Our laboratory is dedicated to aquatic ecotoxicological testing. We perform mainly tests with water fleas (Daphnia magna and Daphnia pulex) and with algae (Scenedesmus vacuolatus, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata).

As equipment, we have an incubator with temperature and light regulation that allow daphnids cultures (0°-60°C, light cycles, 1350 L). We also have a small incubator with temperature regulation (0°-65°C, continuous light, 114 L) and an incubator with constant agitation (5°-60°C, continuous light, 40 to 400 rpm). Both are mainly used for algae cultures. Finally, we have a microplate reader (96 wells, filter 690 nm).
