Personal insights

Philipp Censkowsky is a PhD candidate and Graduate Assistant at the Department of Strategy, Globalization and Society at University of Lausanne (HEC Lausanne). His research interests span the discourse and practices of sustainable finance. Drawing on critical discourse analysis and narratology, Philipp examines the structural ambiguities of narrative structures underlying sustainable finance communications and strategies. Moreover, he is interested in the role of the state in leading socio-ecological transitions and has worked extensively on the field of export finance. Philipp co-founded the Blog for Grand Challenges @HEC Lausanne and is an active member of its editorial team. Finally, Philipp is a research associate with Perspectives Climate Research, a member of the Think7 Task Force on Climate and Environment and a member of the Network for Pluralist Economics in Germany.

Philipp enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, and preparing vegan meals. At any time of the year, you may find him jumping into lake Geneva.
