Waterhouse Group

robert-michael_waterhouse-3332.jpg (Robert Michael Waterhouse)The group's research is mainly focused on elucidating interactions between gene evolution and gene function through arthropod evolutionary and functional genomics. The principal research aims are to develop quantitative measures of gene evolutionary traits and classify genes into multiple functionally-related categories in order to build reliable predictive models of the relationships between the underlying genetics and the observable biological traits. It is affiliated with the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics.
