Information about the 2025 edition will be available early September.

Before applying online, please carefully read the procedure below, which will give you all the necessary indications, step by step.

Link Online application procedure

To apply, complete the online application form available in this link and upload:

  1. A document in PDF format providing information that will be used in the selection process. Please use the template available here (SUR Programme 2024 application questionnaire).
  2. Academic transcripts in pdf format (if not in English or French, an authenticated translation should also be submitted as part of the same transcript pdf document).  If your university does not use a four-point scale, then include an explanation of your grading scale in the SUR Programme 2024 application questionnaire.
  3. Two recommendation letters, which must be submitted by people familiar with your academic work (e.g., professors). During the application process, you will be asked to indicate the contact details of your referees. An automatic email will be sent to them asking to fill out the recommendation letter template available here.

You will find on our website the potential host laboratories list in the UNIL Faculty of Biology and Medicine. In your application, you must indicate two labs in which you would like to conduct research.

Applications, including recommendation letters, must be submitted by midnight CET on January 31st, 2024.

ALL documents must be uploaded in the portrait format. Applications that are incomplete, late, or do not comply with the format requirements or selection criteria will not be considered.
