Master in Earth sciences

Organisation of study
Since 2008, the ELSTE offers a Master of Science in Earth sciences of 120 credits ECTS. After a Bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Geneva, from the University of Lausanne or another university qualification deemed equivalent, a student can join one of the orientations of the ELSTE Master in geology.
From the start of the academic year 2013, the study plan of the Master in Earth sciences has been entirely restructured. This master now includes three orientations:
The program of these orientations is elaborated jointly by the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne and starts in the fall semester of each academic year for a period of 4 semesters.
This program of Master can be entirely completed in English.
From the beginning of the Master, the student chooses one of the three proposed orientations.
The curriculum of each orientation includes:
