In 2017, we finalized and published DOMINO, a machine-learning tool that allows predicting genes associated with dominant genetic diseases in humans (http://www.cell.com/ajhg/fulltext/S0002-9297(17)30368-3). Since it was made available via a web-based interface, this software appears to be used constantly around the globe to help reducing the complexity of NGS information, and has already lead to the discovery of a few new disease genes. Also in 2017 two members of our lab received the prestigious "Ophthaward", the annual prize by the Swiss Society of Ophthalmology for the best research article produced in Switzerland in the field of vision ( https://news.unil.ch/display/1509529380572 ).
