Alena is responsible for theoretical P1/P2 biosafety training, biosafety management at BIO3 and notifications to DFAE. Practical biosafety training is provided by the biosafety deputy of individual research groups. Alena is also in charge of  chemical safety, chemical waste management,  animal necropsy room and P2 room for production of experimental microorganisms in BIO3.

  • Analyzing financial data and monitoring internal controls
  • Coordinating the preparation of the budget
  • Managing accounting activities to ensure compliance with internal accounting principles and policies
  • Overseeing departmental general account operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions
  • Preparing and reviewing detailed quarterly financial reports with analysis for presentations to PL/PIs
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes
  • Validating orders when required

Johanne is responsible for:

  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills and accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensuring proper management of fundings
  • Issuing customer billings
  • Payment and reminder follow-up
  • Year-end closing and accounts reconciliations

Johanne also:

  • Enters key data of financial transactions in UNIL ordering system
  • Opens funds

Julie is in charge of all administrative processes related to the personnel life cycle, from engagement procedures to departure procedures.

Julie is specifically responsible for the HR needs of colleagues within the following units: DOF (Research Laboratories UNIL), DDO (Department of oncology management, including CIO), ONM (Service of medical oncology), RTH (Service of radiation oncology), HEM (Service of hematology) and COP (Center of precision oncology).

She is also the department's sole point of contact for Polypoint, the time management tool.

Vincent is responsible for introducing UNIL IT services to newcomers,  IT services (accounts, network), purchases (hardware and software) and  general support (installation, troubleshooting). 

Vincent is also in charge of IT support to the UNIL community of the department.

FBM IT Service

As a member of the IT program of the FBM, the Department of oncology benefits from the full services of the FBM IT Service. This includes :

Jean is also in charge of visitors' access badges.

Nicolas is responsible for the welcome of newcomers, biosafety training, equipment purchase (> 3’000 CHF), equipment inventory, equipment management, equipment repair (DEMREP), management of cold space (cold rooms, -80°C and liquid nitrogen storage), management of office and lab space, management of UNIL ordering system. Nicolas is also C-lab manager and in charge of radioactivity training and dosimeters.

Kevin offers lab manager support and is responsible for the inventory of chemical products. He is also in charge of database development, equipment repair (DEMREP), help with equipment inventory and maintenance and updating of inventories.

Elsa is responsible for glass and plastic stock management, sterilization of solution, tips and small instruments and washing station room (glass, buckets for centrifuge, etc.)
