PhD student (co-direction)
Sara Heim obtained her BSc in Biochemistry and Neuroscience at the University of Fribourg. She joined UNIL in May 2017 for her master project - in the Computational Phylogenetics group led by Prof. Nicolas Salamin, in collaboration with our team (MEP). She defended her Master degree in Medical Biology in January 2018 at the University of Lausanne.
Sara is currently doing her PhD project on the evolution of clown fish and sea anemone interactions through the analysis of clownfish mucus using an untargeted metabolomics and transcriptomics approach. This project is led by Prof. Nicolas Salamin (director of the Department of Computational Biology) and carried out in collaboration with our team.
