The Swiss PhD in Nursing Science Education (SPINE)

Objective: To strengthen the doctoral programmes in nursing at the universities of Basel and Lausanne.

The Swiss PhD in Nursing Science Education (SPINE) platform is the result of an academic partnership between the Institute of Nursing Science (INS) of the University of Basel and the IUFRS of the UNILCreated in 2014, this unique initiative in Switzerland in the field of nursing sciences draws on the expertise and academic resources of each of the two institutes to offer doctoral students in-depth teaching programmes common to both programmes. SPINE benefits from the financial support of swissuniversities for doctoral programmes. The SPINE website provides information on the activities organised by the two institutes. 

SUMMER SCHOOL

The Annual Doctoral Student Research Day aims to strengthen the research culture among doctoral students. It allows PhD students to present their research areas in the form of abstracts and posters, or even oral presentations, to invited external experts. In parallel, coaching sessions led by these experts will allow the students to address questions of research methodology.
