Blended Intensives Programmes (BIPs) are a new mobility format available to all students enrolled at UNIL. Each BIP combines online teaching with a short five-day period of physical mobility (similar to a summer or winter school) at another CIVIS university with students from all over the Alliance.
CIVIS BIPs are linked to one of the Alliance's themes:
The CIVIS BIPs are published on the CIVIS portal.
Depending on the subject of the BIP and the structure of the programme followed at UNIL, BIP credits will be recognised as follows (as agreed with the mobility coordinator in the learning agreement):
Please note that when the mobility and virtual part are spread over two semesters, the credits can only be validated at the end of the second semester.
The learning agreement is an essential step in validating your BIP mobility project. It should be discussed with the short term mobility advisor at your faculty during the application phase. ECTS credit recognition must be indicated on the learning agreement (if applicable). Your mobility advisor will also be able to provide guidance on credit recognition procedures specific to your program of study.
Once you have completed the BIP, the course organizer must provide you with a transcript of records attesting to your participation and successful completion of the program at bipcivis@unil.ch.
For physical mobility during the BIP, students will receive the following financial support (travel, meals and accommodation):
