The topic of this anthropological fieldwork is to analyze the effects of a training program conceived for the women of the Swiss alpine valleys on the sexual division of labor in the domestic sphere of the participants in this training and, more broadly, in the local economic sphere. This research aims to study whether the mental and physical burdens resulting from the persistent assignment of women to education and household tasks as well as the representations of the participants about their role in the family make it possible for these women to really benefit from a training whose final purpose is the development of a personal professional project. The investigation also relates to the capacity of such training to interfere in the domestic space to modify the norms and practices related to the sex roles and status, the family "gender regime".
