Ruth Ebach

Depuis août 2021, Ruth Ebach est professeure ordinaire d’exégèse historico-philologique de l’Ancien Testament à la Faculté de théologie et de sciences des religions de l’Université de Lausanne. Comme doctorante et assistante diplômée à l’école doctorale du pôle d’excellence « Religion und Politik in den Kulturen der Vormoderne und der Moderne » à la Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster en Allemagne, elle a écrit sa thèse, intitulée Das Fremde und das Eigene. Die Fremdendarstellungen des Deuteronomiums im Kontext israelitischer Identitätskonstruktionen, qui porte sur la construction de l’identité dans le livre du Deutéronome. De 2013 à 2021, elle a travaillé comme assistante scientifique à la Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen au département d’Ancien Testament. En 2019-2020, elle a reçu un fellowship (chercheuse invitée) du Käte-Hamburger-Kolleg « Dynamics in the History of Religion between Asia and Europe » à la Ruhr-Universität Bochum au Center for Religious Studies (CERES). En 2021, elle a achevé sa thèse d’habilitation, intitulée Trügende Prophetenworte. Zum Umgang mit falscher und unerfüllter Prophetie im Alten Testament im Kontext altorientalischer und antiker Divination. Elle est en outre membre des SBL-Steering Committees des sections « Pentateuque » et « Le livre des douze petits prophètes ».
