Lausanne

Fourth biggest city of Switzerland, capital of the Canton of Vaud, center of an agglomeration of nearly 300’000 inhabitants, headquarters of the International Olympic Committee and many international sports federations, Lausanne shines through its dynamism and openness. Both urban and seaside, between lake, mountains, vineyards and forests, Lausanne seduces by its gentle way of life and offers all the characteristics of a metropolis but on a human scale.

The University of Lausanne

UNIL, a key institution in the Swiss world of higher education and research, is home to around 17’000 students and 5’000 employees. Its research activities focus on three main themes: human and social sciences, life sciences and medicine and environmental sciences. UNIL attaches great importance to welcoming students, to the quality of teaching and to pedagogical innovation. This is characterized by a highly interdisciplinary approach which is even reflected in the organization of its faculties.

HEC Lausanne

HEC Lausanne, the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, is one of the seven faculties of UNIL. HEC Lausanne trains the leaders and managers of tomorrow. Now over a hundred years old, it prides itself on values of rigour, integrity, collaboration and entrepreneurship.
The Faculty holds a great number of international agreements and features prominently in world rankings for the quality of its academic programs and its research. It benefits from the attractiveness and economic dynamism of the Lemanic region, while being located in an exceptional setting on the shores of Lake Geneva.
