The Master of Science in Management (MScM) program is for students who aspire to a diversity of career such as business analyst, marketing expert or strategists in a variety of organisations, or to become researcher of human behaviour phenomenon with a rich interdisciplinary background. The skillset acquired is critical to address most of today’s grand challenges because:

  • Solving problems of global scale requires collaboration and thus effective and productive organisations.
  • Limited resources require superior strategies to transform inputs into outputs in a sustainable manner.
  • The high rate of change requires making decisions under uncertainty and effective risk management.

The program equips you with the analytical and strategic skills needed to cope with these challenges and succeed in managerial, entrepreneurial, and consulting roles in various industries and organizations. It also provides you with the basis for pursuing a doctorate in one of the management disciplines.

The courses over 4 semesters are founded on cutting-edge research in management and social sciences and emphasise evidence-based decision-making, interactive team-work oriented pedagogy, and practical learning through project work with various companies.

The program offers four orientations:

Business Analytics (BA)

This orientation covers data analysis, statistical modelling, machine learning, and optimisation to extract information from data and make informed decisions to solve business challenges and enhance organisational performance and operations.

Behaviour Economics and Evolution (BEE)

This orientation provides you with a holistic view of human behaviour, integrating various disciplines to address complex problems like innovation and climate change. You will learn the micro-foundations of behaviour, systemic changes, and interdisciplinary problem-solving.

Marketing (MKT)

This orientation teaches you how to understand customer behaviour and build strong relationships with customers. It also equips you with the skills to capture and create superior value.

Strategy, Organisation and Leadership (SOL)

This orientation teaches you how to analyse markets, build competitive advantage, and develop strategies in various contexts. It also equips students with the leadership skills essential for executing these strategies effectively.

The high quality of the program is reflected in various rankings, among which the prestigious Financial Times, and the roles graduates from the program have in many of the most prominent firms in the region, in Switzerland and in the world.
